HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO INSTALL RIMS?
RIMS can typically be installed in a few days. The longest part of the process is inserting QR codes on your existing inventory.
IS THERE AS SET RECON PROCESS OR CAN I CREATE MY OWN?
RIMS was designed to be fully functional in any type of inventory scenario. We can provide an order for you or you can create your own, however, RIMS has the ability to change the order for every piece of inventory.
WHY WOULD I WANT TO CHANGE THE PROCESS ORDER FOR INDIVIDUAL CARS?
The ultimate goal is to reduce your reconditioning time as much as possible. If the service department is backed up and the detail shop is waiting on cars, there is no reason to have a vehicle just sitting there losing money.
CAN YOU SET UP USERS WITH DIFFERENT ACCESS LEVELS?
Yes. When users are put into the system, the administrator chooses what level of access each user needs.
HOW IS THE INVENTORY LOADED INTO RIMS?
The inventory can be sent to RIMS either in a feed from your DMS or a feed from your appraisal tool such as vauto or first look.. The number of feeds per day depends on which system you choose to use. Inventory can be added manually at any time.
HOW DOES RIMS NOTIFY THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THE NEXT STEP?
RIMS can send notifications by way of SMS (text message) or email. Email is not recommended if the user does not have email set up on their mobile device.
CAN INVENTORY BE MOVED OR UPDATED WITHOUT SCANNING THE QR CODE?
Yes. The inventory can be updated by scanning the QR code, manually typing the stock number, or selecting from the inventory list.
